Band 6 model answer

People have different opinions about urban green spaces. Some people believe that parks improve air quality, wellbeing, and social life, while others think that land and maintenance costs may compete with housing or transport budgets. In my view, it can be helpful, but only when the drawbacks are controlled.

One main reason is that parks improve air quality, wellbeing, and social life. This is important because families and children can exercise and meet in safer shared spaces. Another point is that it can also create broader social benefits. These advantages can make the situation better for many people.

However, there are some problems with this view. land and maintenance costs may compete with housing or transport budgets. If this problem is not managed well, the negative effects could spread further over time.

Overall, I believe the issue should be managed carefully. cities should integrate green space into wider planning.
